Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: The house is great for groups of couples or families and perfectly situated in Agios Athanasios. The place was warm and fireplace added a cozy touch. The landlady was very kind and helpful throughout our stay, even when we forgot some shirts. It's a huge thanks to her that our stay was not ruined.

Negative: Unfortunately, our experience with the husband and Stefanos, the keeper, was disappointing. On the day of our arrival, the husband called me, sounding nearly intoxicated and extemelly rude, to insist that the deal we made was to pay him in cash - which was never the case and is actually illegal for amounts >500 euros. He stated that he had no POS machine (which is also illegal) and expressed doubt about trusting us with a bank transfer - even if we shared with him a copy of the transaction. Thankfully, his kind wife stepped in, finally allowing us to pay via bank transfer. On the final day, Stefanos, the keeper, initially informed us that checkout was at 12:00, and we agreed to call him 15 minutes beforehand to coordinate key return. However, an hour before checkout, he called in a rude and sarcastic manner calling us "kids" (παιδάκια) and saying we have to rush as the previous guests he had interacted with didn't checkout in time. Additionally, the property lacked basic amenities, such as a hairdryer, and the toilet paper in all the bathrooms was nearly depleted upon our arrival and we had to restock it. These issues detracted from what could have been an enjoyable stay.
