Looking chipper and sitting pretty in the countryside, our bright & cheery home is just the ticket for forest-filled days in Sway…
Behind its classic red brick façade, we love how Sway Corner is waiting to delight, with pops of colour & playful art adding a laidback vibe to the characterful New Forest cottage. There are two separate living/sitting rooms to choose from – we'd Monopoly in the living room & brandy in the sitting room for afters; Plus we also absolutely love the super-social kitchen/diner where you can natter as you nibble, or spill out into the garden for alfresco feasting.
With birdsong starting your day right, there's an action-packed itinerary of biking, rambling and den-building all there for the taking (bring your rackets too if you fancy a match in the tennis club opposite). Just follow the ponies & donkeys to find the best spots!
Head home via Sway Village (past the well-connected train station – Brockenhurst or Bournemouth here we come) to replenish stocks in the award-winning butchers and local deli before settling in for the night & getting toasty by the log burner.
Pssst… If you have another jolly in you, few things are more pleasurable than a dusky stroll down the country lanes, and how lucky are you that there's a fab local to pitch up in for a swifty… the stars have aligned!

Bursting with character, the layout here is designed with all of the family in-mind…
At the heart of this home, the kitchen/diner stole the show for us with plenty of room for the whole family to mill amongst the delicious aromas and settle in at the table amongst the light & bright space…Hurrah to chefs being part of the conversation! Adding a little 'je ne sais quoi' to the layout, the French doors here connect you to the garden seamlessly where croissants & coffee can be savoured under the sun at the drop of a hat.
Next up, you're a little spoilt with both a living/TV room, and a sitting room to snuggle up in après supper! Both rooms are equally as ‘sinkable' but there's a little more of a grown-up feel in the front sitting room, with the working fireplace, if you wanted to leave the little ones watching something whilst you have a night cap?
Onwards & upwards, upstairs an oasis of calm awaits, where the green-filled scenes fill each of the three bedrooms with countryside vibes. The master with en-suite is just the spot to retreat and recharge, but the other two (including one with en-suite!) are equally as charming and gentrified.
N.B. Pre-empting forest-filled adventures… and the muddy knees that come with them… the 3.5 bathrooms & utility room means you'll have everything at-hand to get ready for another day of fresh-air explorations.
Outside
Just a 15 minute stroll from Sway Village and its very well-connected village train station you'll find your choccy box cottage opposite grazing horses in the neighbouring field.
Your wrap-around garden is hedged & gated so feels lovely & private.There's plenty of lawn here for a game or two, and the table & chairs on the patio section let you flow between the kitchen & garden to fill up your pitcher.

This is a semi-detached cottage so please do consider your noise levels for the neighbours as you settle in past sunset.
There is an extra charge for logs and kindling to burn on the fire (October- March) but feel free to BYO!

Pets: Dogs are welcome in the downstairs area here - with a small charge per dog, per stay. Garden is fenced and enclosed but houdinis may escape.
Garden: Charcoal BBQ / Garden dining table & chairs.
Parking: The off road driveway has room for 2-3 cars.

We want our guests to enjoy the use of the property and have a memorable time while staying with us. We have a few house rules to note, as follows;
- The property can not be used for parties or private events of any kind.
- No groups under the age of 25.
- Strictly no stag/hen dos or same-sex groups.
- Additional guests, are not permitted without prior approval.
- No music after 9pm
- We must be notified of any pets at the time of booking. Dogs are subject to a charge per dog, per stay.
