Positive: The property is a former monastery, now transformed into a charming complex with 3 rental apartments, a small museum, a church, and a terrace. From the church wall flows a natural spring where cyclists stop to drink and locals come to collect fresh water for home use. Some of the water basins are home to beautiful fish. The whole place is surrounded by nature, with no other buildings nearby, offering a unique atmosphere. The interiors are tastefully renovated, blending historic charm with modern comforts. Behind the terrace, a set of stairs leads to the parking area, and from there a hiking trail begins for those who enjoy walking through the woods. The host is exceptionally friendly — he kindly waited for us despite our late arrival, and even interrupted his meal at our departure to personally help with the check-out. The terrace within the property is open until 6 PM, ensuring guests can enjoy peace and quiet in the evenings. Speaking of quiet, the thick, soundproof walls make it easy to fully relax. There is no air conditioning, but we never felt the need for it thanks to the pleasant environment.
Negative: Not really complaints (I still rated the stay with 10), but to be fair: Cell phone and Wi-Fi coverage – Mobile signal is very weak, depending on the network (Movistar/Digi usually work, Vodafone only occasionally). In our bedroom there was no coverage at all, only weak in the living/dining/kitchen area, and usable mainly on the terrace. The Wi-Fi signal is also unstable: none in the bedroom, available in some areas of the main room but not consistent, and often disconnecting after a few minutes even if it shows strong. Insects – Because of the natural spring, the place attracts flies, bees, wasps, and unfortunately also mosquitoes. Repellent is definitely recommended, especially for children. The windows do have nets, but they don’t fully cover the edges and some are torn, so bringing an electric mosquito repellent could be useful. Tap water – The tap water has a noticeable sulfur smell. The host mentioned it is chlorinated and safe to use, but the odor is still present, so it’s good to be prepared.
