Positive: Centrally located, convenient to explore the city. Some new furniture (ikea), kind of “renovated” (poorly done, especially in the bathroom). Nothing exceptional to point out.
Negative: We didn’t expect much given the reviews and simply chose the place for its location and a place to spend the night as we had family staying close by. Unfortunately the place has disappointed us in certain aspects: there is no natural light unless you open the door. You enter an apartment complex, go straight through a small door and will find yourself in kind of a courtyard that is being shared with other people. The neighbor has a bunch of shit out e.g. broken mirror glass which in our case was dangerous as we were traveling with our baby. The neighbors are also very noticeable, the place doesn’t cancel out any noise. When you sit down on the toilet (which needs to be fixed as the toilet seat moves around) it feels like you’re sitting in the neighbors living room. The sink needs to be fixed as well as it was leaking. The shower would be much better with a glass or plexiglass wall instead of the shower curtain since it’s a little narrow and the water leeks out the shower curtain. The hair blower falls off the wall… There is wires sticking out the wall in the bathroom, the slide door is not really a door, basically everything is just a make believe renovation. What was very disappointing was that the host did not turn on the water heater upon our arrival in the evening. So we were left with a cold shower, as it did not heat up in time before we went to bed. We wanted to find warmth in the bed, but there was no throw blanket but only a thin sheet (end of October). The hand soap was empty, the toilet roll was less than half left for a week long stay and nothing to refill. The kitchen had no cutting board or cutting knives. The appliances (kettle and espresso machine) were dirty and need to see some cleaning with vinegar… the floor of the apartment was dirty as well and we would have liked to wash it ourselves but couldn’t find the cleaning supplies for it. To sum it up, there was no attention to detail or hospitable care.
