Positive: This was a nice hotel. The staff was very friendly and our room definitely seemed clean.
Negative: Our toilet clogged and I went to ask the front desk if they had a plunger. I did honestly hope I could just get a plunger and take care of it myself. The woman working at that time was very friendly, she told me she did not have a plunger and wasn't sure if she could provide one. She explained how someone else had needed one and was supposed to return it to a chute closet so I could check there and hopefully it was there but if not, basically she couldn't help. I did thankfully find the plunger in said closet. The hotel keys deactivate if placed anywhere near electronics. Key fob, phones, tablets, etc. This was an issue as we kept not realizing we were sticking the key cards in a pocket with car keys or picking the card up along with our phones. The woman was never rude or hateful about reactivating the cards but it was definitely frustrating and embarrassing to have to keep getting that fixed. The shower wall was clearly water damaged and there's next to no water pressure. Other than this the bathroom looked clean and is larger than most bathrooms in hotels. My son wanted to sleep on the pull out sofa so when I set that up it did not necessarily seem like it had been changed out and there were no pillows or bedding provided for it. It was late so we made do with blankets the kids brought along for the car ride and pillows off one of the beds as it was late. Other than these things the room did seem to be clean and the beds are comfy. I read reviews that the breakfast was lacking so I brought items for us as we would be checking out early morning anyways. My husband and daughter did go down just to see what was being offered and said it was bacon, folded eggs, and waffles. They both made a waffle to which neither were eaten. My daughter said it tasted like a waffle cone that got wet then dried back out. They both said the waffles were nasty and when my son tried one he said yea no that's gross. I'm guessing it was old batter being reused.
