The money wont be taken, it is an authorization that an amount up to this can be taken if there's any damage caused by the guest or anyone from their booking party. The authorization starts 1 day before your arrival date, and expires automatically 3 days after your departure. This will be all through a company called Chargeautomation. You should receive an email and an sms message with a link to your guest portal. This all needs to be completed to receive your lockbox code on the morning of your day of arrival.
