Positive: It astound me to see that Drifter is rated anything but a perfect 10! Great for a family looking for ski in ski out, clean, safe and warm accomodation. Our kids are 7 and 4 and found the access to the runs easy. The house comes with games and internet connectivity for Netflix, Disney etc… The facilities are modern and clean and inline with western expectation (private bathroom, cooking, washing and drying facilities) whilst exhibiting Japanese’s style. There was enough plates, bowls, cutlery etc.. to house an army and the cooking utensils to match. The house has a coffee machine, hot water for ramen and an old Asahi vending machine that’s prices reflect the year the machine was made. Chris, the host, could not have made our stay more enjoyable. He was readily available with any and all info on the area, ski hire, lift ticket etc. chauffeured, aided in grocery runs and mountain drop off. He even drove my daughter and I to hospital when she injured her leg skiing. This was the first of many trips to Myoko suginohara for our family staying at the Drifter. Couldn’t recommend more highly!
