Positive: It was clean (except for the dusty cables on the bedroom lamps and dust in the radiators). It was well decorated and the kitchen was well equipped.The welcoming milk and Welsh cakes was a lovely touch. Thank you.
Negative: I would have liked to have been warned there were going to be workmen/ noisy family above our flat out of courtesy. The footsteps back and forth, scraping furniture bing moved, bangs and thumps was intolerable and went on and on. On 30 Dec it started just after 5pm and lasted ‘til nearly 11pm. It was also loud on 28th. I foster a disabled child and the only break I ever get is after he goes to sleep. I was so close to banging on the ceiling several times but controlled my anger. I think I deserve a rebate, frankly, because I couldn’t relax and was exhausted driving home the next morning (31st).
Summary: It could have been a much needed and restorative break.
