Positive: Pretty building in convenient location for the town centre. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Good cooked breakfast in the attractive dining room.
Negative: The first room we were allocated had an unusually high bath surround making it difficult to access. The staff readily gave us another room in the cottage. The decor of both rooms was quite bland, with no artwork, for example which was a shame given the attractuve buildings. Both rooms would benefit from a refresh. Whilst the hotel is a 6 minute walk from the station, it is worth knowing that it is uphill! However taxis are available at the station.
