Positive: The shared kitchen is very clean, and the garden is a pleasant place to relax. The house is cosy decorated with a lot of plants. You’ll always find fresh fruit, tea, and coffee available in the kitchen. The accommodation is located in a quiet neighborhood in Ribamar, with easy access by car and free parking. It’s just an 8-minute drive to Ericeira, close to beautiful beaches and surf spots. I also enjoyed day trips to Sintra and Óbidos. Please note that there are some house rules that may not suit everyone, such as no shoes inside and no eating fish or meat. The room with sea view has a comfortable chair and a spacious wardrobe. The private bathroom was nice, with a warm shower, and I appreciated being able to prepare my own breakfast and dinner.
Negative: The house is quite noisy, which disturbed my sleep. The bed was a bit firm for my liking, and the bedding felt synthetic and a little warm. There was no air conditioning or TV, and with the window open, I experienced some mosquitos as well as street and construction noise. A fan was available on request. I stayed for 9 nights; while fresh towels and bedding were provided, the room wasn’t cleaned during my stay. The WiFi was often slow but usable.
