Positive: Close to train but I wasn’t really sure how far it would be from restaurants. It was a good walk across the Loire river which was lovely but problematic in the rain. I think there was a bus from Train to the main part of Amboise but as this was my first trip to France/Europe and I arrived at the property on my 3rd day i was probably still suffering from jet lag so never figured it out completely.
Negative: All communication and instructions were in French, but it would have been helpful to have translations available.
Summary: Quirky and cute apartment if you’re willing and capable of a climb.
