La Casa de la Luz (The House of Light) is set on the edge of a white Andalusian village – Yunquera.
As you close the door behind you, you are transported into a different world. The stunning mountain views of the Sierra de las Nieves, the space and light give more of a rural feel to the house.
It is a modern house on 3 floors with large terraces on each level. There is a private swimming pool on the fourth and lower terrace.
There are three bedrooms sleeping up to 6 people and 2 bathrooms. The main bedroom on the upper floor has a queen size bed and is en suite. It has a huge terrace from which you can enjoy the views of the mountains and valleys and the stars at night.
The other two bedrooms, also with spectacular views, have two single beds in each room. These rooms are on the same level as the entrance hall and there is a shared bathroom.
The living area on the lower floor has a fully equipped kitchen, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, toaster, electric hob and oven, fridge and freezer with all dishes and utensils provided.
There is a dining area next to the kitchen and two sitting areas with sofas. One of these is a television area. The barbecue is on the terrace of this floor and it is possible to sit and eat outside.

Yunquera
The local shops provide all that you need for your stay, the centre of the village being a ten-minute walk away.
The closest bar is ‘Bodega El Por Fin’ where you can sit on the patio under lemon trees and try the local mosto (young wine). The owner loves to show you his wine cellar.
There are several restaurants to choose from also in walking distance.
The area
Yunquera is the doorway to the Sierra de las Nieves which has been designated a national park and is famous for its forest of pinsapos. It is ideal for walking. There are wide variety of sports activities available from local companies including horse riding, climbing and canyoning.
If you wish to travel further afield it is a forty-five-minute drive to Ronda and forty-five minutes to Malaga and also to the beach.
For the more adventurous it is not too far from the "Caminito del Rey" and "El Chorro"
