The lodge is tucked next to the heritage vegetable garden at Dunskey, thus maximising views of the ancient woodland and flowers climbing on the stone wall.Enter the lodge through the historic cobblestone courtyard, and note how the compassionate renovation has preserved the lodge's quirkiness while sidestepping conventionality.
A sumptuous pink velvet sofa takes the stage in the living room, underneath a rice-paper Japanese screen of soaring birds over an idyllic loch. Chrome wall lights brighten the room with diffused warmth across the walls the color of blushing roses. The back door opens to the spacious garden, where in the gentle breeze, the pale velvet cornflower curtains sway sweetly. Another olive velvet chaise lounge provides the perfect spot for tucking into a good book, beneath the large recessed windows that looks out to the courtyard.
