There is no cell service in the valley. There is a small general store in Cooke City but no grocery stores. Stop before you get to the park to stock up

DIRECTIONS FROM COOKE CITY:
The driveway is 2.2 miles from the Community Center.
It is the 3rd driveway ON THE RIGHT past the HORSEBACK Riding sign.
There will be signs for Hartsoe, Kellogg and Wolf Crossing on the trees. There are no lights on the highway.
The cabin is 1/4 mile from 212, keep right at the Y’s and look for the Hartsoe sign. The cabin is at the very top of the hill.
DIRECTIONS FROM THE NORTHEAST GATE OF YELLOWSTONE PARK:
The drive is 1.5 miles from the NE gate. It is the 1st drive on the LEFT after the Horseback Riding sign. There will be small signs on the trees for Hartsoe, Kellough and Wolf Crossing. The cabin is 1/4 mile from 212. Keep right at the Y’s and follow the Hartsoe signs to the very top of the hill.

Summary: A sweet, clean and comfortable space, super convenient to the friendly town of Silver Gate and wildlife viewing in Lamar Valley. There’s a beautiful view of mountains, moonlight, and friendly foxes from the porch. We enjoyed our time there especially grilling on the porch. The ladder up to the loft is not bad at all, but be aware that adults can’t stand up straight in most of the loft space. And the living space is cozy if you will also have the sofa bed in use.
