With the use of warm and natural tones, it really doesn’t take long at all to relax the mind, body and soul. With views across the hilly countryside to the West – be prepared to be captivated by the spectacular sunsets – you can be forgiven for having lazy mornings and cosy afternoons in the bosom of The Loft. Couples are welcome to stay with their small dog or babe in arms where there is plenty of space in the open plan living, dining and kitchen area to feel comfortable and intimate at the same time. The kitchen is well-equipped as well as having a washer/ dryer and washing machine. The living area has a cosy sofa and a HD 4K Smart TV so, if you have a Netflix account, you don’t have to miss your favourite show. Connect to the Sonos sound system to enjoy your tunes or simply soak up the peace and tranquillity of rural St Ives. If you are a passionate about coffee, use the whole experience of using the ROK Espresso maker and milk frother to unwind and slow things down a little…
The bedroom has a king size bed, open clothes hanger and chest of drawers as well as wonderful countryside views. The bathroom has an electric shower over a bath, wash basin and WC.
You have private access to a gravelled courtyard that (when the weather is on your side!) is drenched in sunshine from morning until late into the summer evenings. There is parking for one car next to the property but also plenty of on-street parking outside the apartment too. It has WiFi (which is a good thing as you may need it to make/ take calls as reception can be patchy in rural Cornwall, but perhaps the very sound of that is perfect!)
The Loft is nestled in the heart of Halsetown best described as rural St Ives, you are surrounded by hillsides, grazing ponies and fabulous walks. You can walk from The Loft into St Ives within 30 minutes, while taking in the amazing views land to sea along your way! The Halestown Inn is a close walk from the apartment and serves hot food. There is also a renowned restaurant on the Polmanter Tourist park area about a 5-minute walk away. The Loft is superbly placed to explore West Cornwall either by foot, two wheels or car so come along and experience it all for yourselves!
1 well behaved small sized dog welcome (terms and conditions apply with a £50 pet fee per week).

Arrival and checking in
We will alert you of the key safe code at your check in time of 5pm on the day of your arrival via the App followed by a text and then email. Please remember to have downloaded the App before you set off from home for your holiday. If your property is in an area of no reception, as long as you have downloaded the App, it will show you the key safe code at check in time. Please ensure the app is set to 'auto update' on the app store.
The keys will be placed in the key safe at the property ready for check in, so you are free to arrive at the house anytime from the check in time onwards. There is a key safe. To open, dial the combination on the key safe and press the sides to open. Please always leave a key in the key safe box when you go out during your holiday in case of emergencies, thank you. On the day of departure, please vacate the property by the check out time of 10am promptly. There will be a strict £45 fine for every 30 minutes you go over the check out time.
When you leave on your day of departure, please lock the door and ensure you leave a set of keys in the key safe box and jumble up the numbers for security.
We ask that you text the housekeeper 24 hours before you leave the property to give them an estimated time of departure. You will find their contact details under the final dropdown heading on the app. It would be great if you could also confirm by text when you have left. If you can't see the housekeepers number below, please ensure the app is updated to the latest version.
It would be fantastic if you could place a review either on our website by going to the property details of where you have stayed and writing a review or on the website you used to book the property. Also what we'd really like is to stay in touch; we regularly use Facebook to post new 'up and coming' properties and last minute special offers so it would be great if you could find us and 'like' our page.
N.B. On your departure at the end of your holiday, please ensure the property is left neat and tidy, outside area swept of any sand left during your stay, dishwasher emptied and all rubbish bins emptied and refuse removed from the property.

Directions
Follow the A30 until you reach the roundabout at St Erth that asks you to take the 2nd exit to St Ives on the A3074. Take this exit.
Go past the garden centre on your right and then straight over the mini roundabout, and then left at the next roundabout going past the Watermill pub on your right
Follow this road for a few miles until you reach a t-junction
Turn right following signs to St Ives
You will pass a horse trekking centre on your left and then enter Halsetown, you will approach the Halsetown Inn on your right on a very tight bend
On the bend, turn right (you will see a brown tourist sign for Polmanter Tourist Park directing you the same way), go past the Halsetown Inn and drive past a row of houses on your right
You will then approach a terrace of granite cottages on your left and you will see, on your right, a cottage that has a wooden stair rail and steps going up to a first floor front door, this is The Loft. Parking for The Loft is next to the steps. Parking

Please turn on the power to the router next to the table it sits on if you see no power lights showing.
If internet fails, the first attempt to remedy it should be to reset the router by switching it off, waiting for a few minutes (time to put the kettle on and have a cuppa) and then switching it back on again. If the problem persists, please do let us know and we will try, together with the owner to see if it is something the internet provider can help with. If it is a problem affecting all of St Ives, I'm afraid we will be powerless to resolve the issue. House rules (dogs)
If you are bringing a dog we need to bring to your attention to a few house rules. The owner has welcomed your dog/s to join you on holiday by allowing their property to be 'pet-friendly'. They do expect however the following are respected and adhered to:
Dogs are not permitted on any furniture or beds
Dog hair is thoroughly hoovered up before your departure
All dog waste is removed from garden (if the property has a garden)
Dogs are not left unattended in the house at any point during your holiday and are ideally crated if known to chew (dogs can chew when stressed and left alone in a room in a strange home but we trust you know your dog best)
Failure to respect the above will result in additional charges as per our terms and conditions (which were accepted on booking) Bins
The refuse is collected by a private collection company called HM and the collection is ordered by Orange Roofs. HM collect the rubbish on your departure day and this is arranged by us.Please do NOT put your rubbish in any of the other wheelie bins or glass bins.Please DO NOT put any items loose in the wheelie bin. Ensure rubbish is BAGGED correctly - See instructions below.We do leave some spare bags however you may need to purchase further if you have a large amount of refuse.
Recycling:
• Please use WHITE/ CLEAR bin bags for all DRY recyclable items • All dry recycling items (cardboard, plastic, glass, tins and paper) can be mixed in one bag, however the recycling items can not be mixed in the general waste bin bag. • Once this is full or before you leave, please securely tie the bags and place in the wheelie bin. The recycling bags and general waste bags are both collected from this bin and sorted at the bin depot.
Non-recyclable waste:
• Please use the bin with BLACK bin bags for all non-recyclable waste. • Once this is full or before you leave, please securely tie the bags and place in the wheelie bin. • Both the general waste bags and the recycling bags are collected from this wheelie bin and they are sorted at the bin depot.
Accidents happen! If you break a glass or any dishes, please report to us so we can replace the item but, and most importantly, please wrap these up separately before disposing in the bin. Help us to avoid another accident, the rubbish in St Ives is collected by hand and so sharp, broken glass or ceramics is a real danger to Vaughan and Tristan, our bin men.
