Marpissa village is permanently inhabited by at least 600 people, population that grows significantly during summer months. Its main attractions are the clusters of white cubic houses lying cyclically on a hillside, several small, white byzantine churches, colorful backstreets, hidden squares and the neighboring hill of Saint Antonios, with a small monastery on the top of the hill surrounded by remnants of a medieval castle. The village is a well-known place for several cultural events during the year, especially in summer, "Routes in Marpissa" event and Greek Easter events being the most prominent ones. Piso Livadi, the sea port of Marpissa, and the settlement of Logaras beach (both of them within walking distance) are notable tourist attractions, comprising many hotels, villas, cafes, tourist shops, bars & restaurants adjacent to the seaside. Rich night life is present at Piso Livadi, Logaras, Naousa and Paroikia. Nearby Punda beach is famous for its beach bars, seaside partying and sports activities.
