Positive: Staying at Villa Poseidon is truly a wonderful experience. The house is very modern and equipped with the latest technology, including a retractable awning, automatic shutters, and a hot tub. It is spacious and has an incredible lake view with a private beach to boot. I highly recommend the home. Porto Valtravaglia, the nearby town, is a quaint sleepy town with incredibly friendly people. It is a small town, yet it has access to ferries during tourist season.
Negative: Walkability. Traveling from the villa to Porto Valtravaglia requires walking by a heavily trafficked road. Moreover, the check-in and check-out requires going to a neighboring town Luino, which is not in walking distance. We took the trains and walked during our stay, but this complicated things. Guests should consider renting a car for the best experience.
