Summary: The ambience at this place is amazing. It doesn't feel like a hotel; you feel like you've snagged a room on a rich person's hacienda. I didn't give it full stars because the signage and communication were lacking. You have to call (by phone) to get someone to come and check you in. There is no check-in desk, which adds to the ambience, but if you don't know about that in advance, you'll be like me--circling the place on foot and by car, to find someone to check you in. Once inside, it's a maze of corridors with beautiful, museum-like rooms roped off. These also add to the ambience. But trying to remember where that office was, for a person (like me) with no sense of direction, was a nightmare. When we wanted to check out, I did find the office (after going up and down several hallways several times), but the door was locked. It was about 9:00 a.m. I then went outside, looking for someone. Then, I finally realized, I could call the same number I had called to check in. Did that, and a person came immediately. Advance information would have saved me a lot of stress.
