Opposite the house there is one of the most beautiful and oldest churches in Wernigerode, the Johanniskirche. The town centre and the train station are five minutes away. You can stroll along romantic alleys and discover medieval architectural monuments. A must for every visitor is the market square, which owes its fascination in particular to the late Gothic timber-framed town hall. The Wernigerode Castle, one of the landmarks of the town, houses one of the largest museums of the Sacsen-Anhalt region.
